This is the first ever Salem Acres Bible Camp Blog. Let’s meet the staff.
Tony and Amber Presley and family are looking forward to their second summer at Salem Acres Bible Camp. Tony is the General Manager and has a 5 year plan in place and has a vision for the camp and future developments. Amber is the master chefs. Koral is the cook in training and also likes to help Uncle Wayne with the repairs. Echo and Brooke spend time playing their violins. Caleb is busy entertaining us all. The whole family is enjoying the animals especially the birds and watching them hatch.
Gary and Barb Hermanson is busy with working part time jobs and helping with many jobs. Barb is keeping the A Frame and Bethhaven ready for the many retreats we have hosted and helping to prepare the many meals cooked. Gary is faithful in picking up the mail and taking the garbage and taking care of the recyclables and doing the clean up for meals.
For Wayne and Lois Wooden this will be our fourth summer. We came back from our RVIC projects all excited about getting the work done at camp before the campers come. Wayne has built six new bunk beds and is repairing the mini golf course. I have been busy doing spring cleaning in the dining room, kitchen and cabins and helping with the meals.
Ed Semph has been here for 27 years. He keeps busy with cutting the lawns, looking after the horses and chickens. Many days we will see him on the tractor, delivering a needed scoop of gravel, or taking some brush away or on the lawn mower.
Many days, it is a hard decision to decide what job has the highest priority as so many jobs need to be done. We do thank the Lord for our health and the supplies he gives us to accomplish this work and it is only a little compared to what the Lord has done for us.
We appreciate your prayers,
